The Economic Impact Hosting a World Cup Has on a Nation

The 2026 World Cup was announced June 13, 2018. The much-awaited announcement declared that the United Bid - a combined bid from the US, Mexico, and Canada - had won, cementing a 2026 World Cup in North America. The United Bid denied Morocco the chance to host The ‘Cup by winning a vote of 134 to 65 by FIFA, world soccer’s governing body.
